I’m talking today about why boundaries are important; a topic I love talking about and one we don’t talk about enough. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or overworked, this topic will be particularly relevant and helpful to you.
The idea of setting boundaries makes a lot of people feel uncomfortable. I want to break the stigma that ‘boundaries’ is a dirty word and talk about why they are actually essential in helping you thrive in your career and every area of life.
The idea of setting boundaries makes a lot of people feel uncomfortable. I want to break the stigma that ‘boundaries’ is a dirty word and talk about why they are actually essential in helping you thrive in your career and every area of life.
In this episode, I share my perspective on establishing healthy boundaries and how they act as a personal protective bubble that ensures your health and happiness are intact.
In order to implement the boundaries that will serve you in every aspect of life, you first need to understand what your nonnegotiables are. I share my tips on how to do this so that your boundaries are effective, and will help you live more authentically aligned with your values.
I also share some troubleshooting tips to help you throughout the process of setting and implementing your boundaries. I talk about the importance of communication, why you don’t need to apologise for setting boundaries, and why you need to take full responsibility for your own happiness.
If you want to show up as the best version of yourself, carve out space for the things that light you up, and set parameters around the things that don’t, I encourage you to be intentional about your boundaries. When you do this, you’ll be empowered to live a life by design rather than by default.
