Negative feedback is tough, but it also presents an amazing opportunity for growth! On the episode today I want to share with you how to harness negative feedback so that you can use it as a way to fuel progress and results.
When we receive negative feedback our brain jumps straight into shame, disappointment and fear. I’ll share with you tips on how to move through these negative emotions, so that you don’t get stuck in the negative self talk that often accompanies negative feedback.
Learning and growing from negative feedback is a process. I explain why negative feedback is normally provided and how it comes down to expectations and, in some cases, visibility. I explain how to gather information, so that you can properly reflect and learn from the feedback provided. I then take you through how to formulate a plan in order to act upon the feedback provided and achieve the desired results.
The key throughout all of this is a growth mindset. It’s important to keep in mind that if you aren’t receiving negative feedback, it may mean you’re playing small and not pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.
If you are wanting to have an outstanding career and achieve big results then you need to get comfortable with processing negative feedback and using it as a growth strategy for your own progress and development.
Negative feedback is an amazing opportunity. I hope this episode helps you harness it moving forward.
